Reading Surah Al-Kahf

The Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) said: “Whoever reads Surah al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.” (Narrated by al-Haakim; classed as Sahih by al-Albani)

 

Dua on Friday

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, ‘There is an hour on Friday, and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand.’ And he pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands. (Narrated by Abu Hurairah/ Sahih Al-Bukhari 935)

Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said, “The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim who has attained the age of puberty.” (Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Sahih Bukhari)

Friday Prayer

Abu Huraira narrated: Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ) talked about friday and said: The five prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramazan to Ramazan are expiations for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins.

 

Sending a lot of Darood upon the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

The Prophet (PBUH) said: ‘One of the best of your days is Friday. On this day, Adam was created and on this day he died, on this day the Trumpet will be blown, and on this day all creatures will swoon. So send a great deal of salah upon me on this day, for your salah will be presented to me.’ (Sunan An Nasai: 1375)

 

Listening carefully to Jummah Khutba 

Allah Apostle ﷺ said, “When the Imam is delivering the Khutba, and you ask your companion to keep quiet and listen, then no doubt you have done an evil act.” Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Al-Bukhari-934

 

Friday is the best day. Every Muslim should recite as much as possible on this blessed day and engage himself in worship. The virtue of Friday has been described in many hadiths. Prayers are more accepted on Friday, and Hadith Sharif means that there is an hour on Friday that if a Muslim cherishes this hour and asks Allah Almighty in it, Allah Almighty will surely grant him.
